I think performances by Jon Batiste and the band should be a monthly, even weekly, thing!

^^THIS^^ I was thinking the same thing.

Great show from start to finish!

Nice to see the lady writers highlighted in this ep. This show definitely gives the writers more of an opportunity to perform than the old one, so that’s nice. Stephen messing up on the trumpet is so worth watching, just hilarious. Jonny B definitely should perform once a month, he could perform all day and never get tired (or boring.) 🙂 Jon definitely matches Stephen pound for pound in the energy-having department.

Tonight on #LSSC we’ll be playing Mardi Gras music for the #bumpers.

  • Jon Batiste performing “Blackbird” on the 52nd anniversary where The Beatles made their US debut 52 years ago was beautiful, magical, TRANSCENDENT.

    Jazz hands!

I wish every ep would be like this one. That woman looked like Edna from “The Incredibles”. 😀
    I
feel like she did at the end of it, when Stephen asked if everyone,
including him, would just stop talking about politics, she smiled.
That’s how I feel. I really wish everyone, including Stephen would stop
talking about the election. Maybe once a week, tops.
I loved that Jon was such a big part of
this ep. We got to see more New Orleans footage, loved the “field piece”
that Amanpour did, too. Anytime they show the staff and behind the
scenes footage, even if it’s not really actual behind the scenes stuff,
    it’s great!
