Grammy triumph and Superbowl anticipation were the themes for this great ep.
Someone looks pretty happy to have won (another) Grammy!
Unfortunately, at the same time it has been learned that fellow Grammy contender Pete Seeger passed away at the age of 94. This kind of reminds me of Maurice Sendak, where a luminary’s passing also coincided with a really positive development in Stephen’s career. (Sendak passed away the day Stephen’s children’s book was released.) I am sure Mr. Seeger is smiling down on Stephen and the other fellow nominees, and may he rest in peace.
So many good moments! Share your thoughts as we celebrate Grammy success and gear up for a football-filled week.
Logo Restrictions for the Super Bowl
Stephen’s “Big Game” graphic skirts legal issues - and includes fire-breathing.
Loved the montages of Stephen presenting the Superb owl as only he can - by portraying both Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke. Hilariously perverse.
Richard Sherman’s Rant Fallout
“I don’t know my own race. People tell me I’m white, and I believe them, because I thought Macklemore deserved those Grammys.”
“[Sherman] combines the temper of Russell Crowe, the hubris of Kanye West, and the hairstyle of the Predator.”
“Is the scary black man gone?”
© footbasket.com | “And [Sherman] is a ‘thug,’ just look how Richard Sherman hunted down Michael Crabtree to rudely congratulate him. It is so refreshing to see that after being assaulted with the offer of a handshake, Crabtree still showed the class to high-five Sherman’s face.”
Big Winners at the Grammy Awards
“I don’t know about you, but Madonna’s entrance gave me an urge to eat a bucket of fried chicken. “
“”The Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences are very particular on how to hold these things. Always with the gramophone to the left side of the picture. Why? Partly, this is where the plaque is, as seen on this Grammy I won four years ago. Also because the other side has visible genitalia. I don’t know why they do that. I assume it’s how they make more Grammys.”
