A Fond Farewell from the Hub

Colbert News Hub Updates
Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end, and I’m sorry to say, our journey here at the Hub is now at an end.

A lot has changed in my life in the past year, some for the good, some for the bad. Blogging unfortunately had to take a back seat to my life in the real world, and as a result we have been slowly decreasing our output here at the Hub. At the start of this year, I decided to take a little break from the Hub, something I have not done since its inception nine years ago, and truth be told, for the first time, I did not miss it.

Since we began, much has changed within the fandom and how fans interact with one another. And as much as we’ve been able to keep at the fore front of the latest breaking Colbert news over the years, the ways in which fans consume and interact with their news has shifted. Blogs and fan sites have taken a back seat to social media, and keeping atop the social media output for a show that airs in the middle of the afternoon here in Australia, is something I can no longer do.

With that in mind, I made the very difficult decision to shut the Hub down. It is time for me to let go and move onto the next chapter, whatever that may hold.

Before I say farewell for the final time, I wanted to take a moment to thank all the wonderful Hub staff over the years – Justine, Cate, Karen, Victoria, Tsurai, Anna Bell, Laurel, Claudia, Jennifer, Elanor, Kris, Lindsey, Louise, Melissa, Melanie, Zoe, Wayne, Katie and Gina. Without all of your amazing help and dedication, this site would not be possible!!

A big thank you to all the Hubsters out their for being a part of this site. Your contributions, support and shared love of eye candy, have made working on this site each and everyday an utter joy!

And finally, to Stephen. Thank you for bringing so much joy and laughter into our lives. Thank you for introducing us to so many wonderful new things and experiences. And most of all, thank you for all the friends we’ve made a long the way. Whatever the future may have in store for you Stephen, I wish you all the best!

And with that, it is time to go.

Thank you Hubsters, and farewell!
