St. Valentine’s Day

Scream and shout, ColbertNation, make Mr. C shake!

Trust original-ist Mr. C to inform the nation on the traditional and historic details of any given high holiday.

Howl!!!! HOWL!!!

Lupercalia! bring on the wolf-teat, wine and women whipping! Roman Romance!

Standard & Poor’s Ratings Lawsuit

When it comes to finance, how standard can a place called Poor‘s be? Just because they want us to believe them when they say investments are sound, doesn’t mean when they are not sound, S&P have anything to do with a bad investment. That’s just financiers’ logic. Let’s hear it for the Bro-kers!

Banks describing their financial standing as built upon “Significant Assumptions not observable in the market?” brings up another profound quote, “You know what you do when you Assume, you make an ASS out of U and ME!” Perhaps the faulty assumption here is thinking that banks conspired to defraud investors, that is giving them way too much credit for thinking ahead.

Come on, Nation, let’s give them a biting tongue-lashing, wolf style!

Standard & Poor’s Ratings Lawsuit - David Leonhardt

Friend of the show, David Leonhardt, prostituting himself by eBook with “Here’s the Deal,” explains how Standard & Poor’s want us to think all they are doing with their rating of investments is muttering out loud in a “freedom of speech” kind of way. Only they want to charge us for listening. And as we know, you can’t imprison anyone for “freedom of speech” if they are in a financial theater not yelling financial fire!

“Do you know why this is such a great country?” Stephen asks with sincerity, “because anywhere else on earth we would line them up and shot them.”

Loving a guest who really appreciates Stephen’s insight.

Nailed ‘Em – Richard Eggers

Banks might be too big to fail or jail but Richard Eggers is not to big to Nail!

Gavin Newsom

Forget Storm Nemo, Gavin Newsom is blowing a bulls*&t snow storm in the studio, so Stephen started shoveling. Mr. Newsom claims he wants to level the democratic process by reinventing government and challenging the hierarchy with double speak spoken by digital natives and other made up sh*&t!

“Big is getting small, small is getting big” says, Newsom but gladly enough, Stephen has an acutely honed bulls&*t translator
“He’ll get his!” Stephen murmurs as Newsom attempted a slight about Mr. C’s digital awareness.
