I really loved this episode, especially the local news calendar.

Side note, has anyone else ever listened to the P!nk song ‘My Signature Move’ and thought that it sounded like the sort of song the character ‘Stephen’ would sing? Once I had the thought I couldn’t *not* think it ever since.

Was it just me, or did the “baseball manager” from the opening segment look a lot like Jon Stewart?

    • Lou

That’s because of the beard! 😛 I believe that was Tom Purcell though?

Anyway, I really enjoyed the episode. The whole intro was really nice. I love how creative they’re being with those now! And cartoon Donald Trump is a definite favorite. I’m glad to see it’s becoming recurring segment!

        Oh, okay!

To take away the confusion, when we see spot staff members, we include them in the episode itinerary above under “Staff Cameos.”

  • It was great to see the return of Cartoon Trump! I hope they continue the bit, because it is hysterical.

It was very cool to see George Clinton sitting in with Jon and Stay Human. I saw Clinton and the P-Funk years ago at a small venue in Philly. He’s still got that funk!

I loved the Nick Offerman interview. He really is like Ron Swanson in many ways. “Please and thank you.” The funniest moment for me was the crowd’s reaction to Offerman’s boat vs. the crowd’s reaction to Stephen’s boat! Offerman was hilarious, saying, “We can paddle away from these sons of bitches.”

Watching Colbert wind up pitches with Pedro Martinez warmed my heart somehow.
