I liked seeing Brian Stack at the top of the show; he is hilarious. Downton cast was great with Stephen, and we got to see the lightbulb piece. It was cute!

What I liked about this show was the whole loosening up feel, not only the Brian Stack “ghost” segment and Stephen keeping going after his flub in at the opening, but setting up the Reese’s segment only to fake us out by stopping it to change the dead light bulb on the marquee instead. Adam McKay’s Chicago improv stories (which I didn’t know anything about) were also fun as was Stephen pulling out his old ad. I think the viewers are bound to enjoy this relaxed and spontaneous vibe.

It was relaxed, you’re right, I like that. I hate the fact that all these cool Chicago improv actors were around and I was too young to enjoy their crazy performance art in person! *tears*

I also liked when Stephen ran out in the audience. He needs to get out there in the audience and do some bits! Colbert Nation rules. The best people you’ll find.

I liked the Macbeth monologue. I hope they keep playing around with “sidekicks” like that. Having a resident ghost randomly spar with Colbert would be great! I also liked the Trump/Hillary/Carson/etc-bit. I don’t live in America and as a foreigner I have no idea what is going on in America, but from what I read online America seems so polarized at moment. Liberals complain that Colbert is not liberal enough and republicans recent him for being to liberal. Vegetarian/vegans are upset. Bernie Sanders supporters are upset. I worry about Colbert. Doing political satire in that climate is not easy! But I trust Colbert to do great comedy - I’m just worried that no Americans will be watching… Anyway, the fact that he is staying true to who he is regardless of ratings, makes me love him even more :) I never heard of Adam McKay, but I thought the interview was refreshingly different. I also loved the interview with George Saunders yesterday. I find that I prefer the interviews with non-celebrities. Especially to be introduced to fascinating people I don’t already know. One of many reasons I love the show.

“I’m a ghoooooooooost! I shall haunt ye forever for ye have dared to say the name of the Scottish play!” Then it was funny when Stephen messed up and yelled, “MACBETH!”
I also loved all the puns about Middle Eastern food.
