Stephen Colbert at the Federal Election Commission
“Mr. Colbert, you may form your PAC, and proceed as the Commission has advised in this opinion.” (Note: Opus staked out again in his testimonial position.)

Fresh on the heels of FEC triumph, our self-described Super PAC “SuperFounder” Stephen returns to New York to celebrate the ruling.  What a great ending to what could have been a great potential disappointment.  Although much remains to be seen as to what is the long-term fall out from the Supreme Court Citizens United ruling, and the media’s use (or misuse) of Super PACs, we all know Stephen will inject his satire (and what I hope will be hefty Super PAC coffers) directly into the heart of the political discourse this upcoming presidential election.  And look great, of course, in his PAC-funded private jet.

Wonderful also to see the return of a brilliant Formidable Opponent.  It is awful to think that we embroil ourselves as a country in these tenuous, unrewarding relationships.  Someone needs to blow a hole through this policy, just like Bad Stephen’s Terrorist Friend Stephen Al-Bert (and by the way, did you get a load of Bad Stephen’s Terrorist Friend Stephen Al-Bert)!

Well friends, let’s congratulate one another on Super PAC victory and comment up.

  • “I just flew back in from Washington, and boy, is my everything tired.”
  • “Please donate Nation, because you can’t spell ‘Donation’ without ‘Nation’ and ‘Do’ (ugh).”
