Stephen: “The United States has two kinds of relationships with countries around the world right now: either you’re technologically advanced enough for us to spy on everything you’re doing…or you live someplace that’s full of sand and rocks and we blow you up with drones.”
What a fun ep! The top of the show was truly hilarious, with the audience both shouting and whispering “I love you Stephen!” (I am sure it was really hard for them to do.) After fearing for the whereabouts of the “Obamacare girl,” he moved onto covering the current Germany-spying debacle. I enjoyed the interview with Mark Mazzetti, and particularly the quote from Stephen above. Finally, the Orlando Bloom interview was light and fun (and easy on the eyes). As you know, Hub Life continues on our Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr pages. Feel free to shout out about the ep there until we get back up 100%.
Stephen likes it (a little bit) when the audience whispers “I love you” to him. But he still hates Obamacare.
Healthcare.gov’s Smiling Stock Photo
“We have to find her, Nation. I’ve made a composite sketch. If anyone sees this woman, please contact me immediately.”
Germany’s NSA Outrage
“Oh big deal. Merkel should be flattered. Someone looked at the Chancellor of Germany and said, ‘I’d tap that.’”
- Kay?!? “We are not and will not [spy on Merkel.]” That takes care of the present and the future. And there’s no other time period I can think of.
- It’s a perfectly healthy relationship. All the allies are just screwing around on everybody else. At this point, NATO is just one big ass pile.
Lifetime of Furfillment
Bunny gets to love the girl of your dreams and let her go and the appropriate time, knowing he did everything he could.
“[Bunny] lived an honest life; he formed real attachments, with living, breathing humans, who are not stuffed f**king animals.”
Interview - Orlando Bloom
Orlando Bloom is so tickled to be in the TCR studio he laughs (and snorts) and delights the Bloom fangirls.
Sign Off - Good Night
Not sure what spurred this scaaaarrry face at the end of the show.
HELLLLOOOO Hubsters! I’ve missed you so. Good to see the site is running well, and I hope all those errors are completely resolved! Anyway, I have a nit to pick from Monday and Tuesday night’s show, in a good way.
TCR and TDS definitely had fun covering the recovery of the Obamacare website, especially with the smiling woman removed from the site page. Stephen’s affair and concern for that ethnic grinning beauty was just so cute, the same as his picture. As for Jonny-bun, well, I’ll just say he clearly prepared himself to perform his heart out! Seems like he’s up his game again after last week. Could this be a “good thing” or “bad thing”?
Speaking of which, I love the way Jonny-bun addressed CNN’s tactic, trying to step away from being partisan or such. Oh and Al’s segment was bloody awesome, though it did remind me of that Vicco Mayor from “People Who Destroyed America”. The only difference, TDS handled it the way Carlos from “Welcome to Night Vale” would do with all those supernatural creatures. I’ll be fair, Al definitely played “Carlos” without even trying.
As for Colbert, loved the Word segment, though I think the package from Endive took the cake. If only we can obtain whatever we want just by promoting it. Anyway, that day will come. Thanks for fixing the site!

When Stephen was talking about the missing “Obamacare girl” I half expected her to walk out onto the show! You never know with TCR! I LOVE that quote from the interview with Mark Mazzetti. Stephen’s words really knock me over sometimes. I’m going to have to agree with CN Helper; Orlando Bloom is easy on the eyes! Lovely interview.
