Stephen decodes Obama’s secret Muslim messages found in White House pics, tries to figure out which Rand Paul is which and talks to Sheryl Crow.
In the special bonus web song, Stephen reveals something …
New York City Mayoral Primary
Joe Lhota won on the Republican side. He’s the one who hates kittens.
DiBlaisio won on the Democratic side. I can hear Jon’s Jerry Lewis impression in my head when I read his name.
I’m so going to miss this graphic when Bloomberg is gone, it cracks me up so much every time they use it. Hopefully Bloomberg will stay in the news so maybe we will see it again.
America’s Got Serious Reservations About This - Syria - Rand Paul
“If Obama really wanted to sell us on Syria, he should have taken a page from the people selling us Siri. Pushing an iPhone and a war are a lot alike. You just say that the new one is smaller, cheaper and faster and people will buy it. Even though they’ve already got one and they’re still paying off the previous model.”
Rand Paul (9/10/2013): I don’t know whether to trust the proposal or not. … The question is, are they serious? … Can we trust the participants in this plan?
Stephen: Right. You can’t always trust. For instance, that thing on your head. You assure us that it’s hair, but I have yet to be convinced it’s not a slumbering wombat ready to strike at any time.
Barack Obama’s Footgate & Secret Muslim Code
Apparently everyone at Fox News is offended by this and one woman thinks that because Obama’s semi-involuntary movement of his muscles to lift his leg onto his desk, it means some sort of code of support for the Muslim Brotherhood. Paranoid much?
Is there anymore proof that the people on Fox News are just hell bent on picking on anything and every little thing that Obama does? Seriously? Foot on the desk?
Interview - Sheryl Crow
“Why are you trying to steal jobs from country musicians? Have you heard their lyrics? They’ve had terrible lives.”
Stephen: You don’t look like someone who wakes and bakes.
Sheryl: I got a crack team working around the clock to make me look like this.
Stephen: Really? That’s nice. Can I have their number?
Sheryl: You don’t need it.
Stephen: Thanks. You’re a good guest.
I thought they had decorated Stephen’s Emmy with little lights, but upon closer inspection, it’s just a reflection of the studio lights.
It is so ridiculous that the talking heads at Fox blew a gasket over Obama putting his foot on the desk. Puh-lease! Stephen’s reaction was hysterical.
Sheryl Crow was awesome! I liked how she sung to Stephen’s portrait. Nicely done, Ms. Crow!

The writing in this ep was so strong. I like that Stephen is talking a lot about the NYC mayoral race, because for a change it’s really a nice, local politics story, even if it is for a ginormous city like NYC.
Rand Paul is “a little here, a little there” on just about everything…but being a libertarian I wonder why he so invested in the Syria conflict.
I wonder when the graphics team has to depict the President sporting a Washington Monument (complete with sheath) what is gong on in their mind. You have to share Stephen’s edgy sense of humor to gleefully portray the most powerful man in the world ™ in such fashion, to say the least.
What do you guys think of the Crowster? I know she was at the Rally and she and SC seem to have good rapport. Were you diggin’ the country thing?

I’m not really a country fan. I like some of Sheryl’s music, but not all of it. I’ve always thought her music was a little bit country at times and a little bit rock and roll at times, minus the Donny and Marie. (i have a feeling hubsters under the age of 30 won’t get that reference) That’s good though, it shows diversity. Anyway, I liked her on the show, she is, as Stephen said, a good guest.
