Yes. Talking, and talking, and talking to fill hours of empty time. It’s the news story Cable was born to cover.
Yes, but only under extraordinary circumstances. Like an endless war with a faceless enemy fought by remote control flying kill bots. I mean, how often does that happen?
Do you hear that drones? Stephen love you. Stephen strong, Stephen good friend.
And you know North Korea mean business. They’ve already wiped East and West Korea of the map.
*paper-cut*
The video depicts a man dreaming of a North Korean rocket nuking New York City, all set to ‘We Are the World’.
Now I’m not actually sure if I am going to be able to fall asleep … zzzzzzzzzzz
Ahhh shut up. Shut up you stupid boring news. Look ah, I’m not gonna ah lie to you folks. Old Stephen C is tired. This is my last show before a two week break and I am barely holding it together so cards on the table I could give two **** about the news right now.
What’s with Sean being a ‘born again virgin’? I’m sorry once you’ve done it, you’ve done it. You can’t re-pop the cap on a stanpple.
After seeing this, are you telling me I can rake in 9 millions viewers just by starring at a couple of people for a whole minute?
SC: John Sexton will you be my guest?
JS: Oh yes.
PD: What about all that stuff you said to me in the ‘Fantasy Suite’?
SC: *mouths* I’m sorry.
PD: I deserve happiness to!
JS: God, like baseball is timeless.
SC: Baseball feels timeless.
“Oh my God, Paul Dinello!!”
I said that at least 5 times during that “Bachelor” sketch, truth. That was so funny! I loved that they wanted to do something fun like that before the break. I could have swore Stephen was going to start fake-crying though; he usually does that with Paul. And bless John Sexton for playing along the whole time!

What a great show last night! I was literally crying from laughter!
I hope Stephen enjoys his VERY deserving vacation! They’ve been going for 2 and 1/2 months now and they definitely deserve some time off! Two weeks will go fast and I’m looking forward to his return…which will probably be more brilliant than ever!

@StephenSmile64:
Hi StephenSmile64! Welcome to the site if you haven’t commented before!
You’re right, they have been going strong for 2 1/2 months straight now (if you don’t count President’s Day, which I don’t), and definitely deserve a break! I wouldn’t be surprised if he heads home and comes back with a tan, haha - darn South Carolinians and their warmer weather.

The whole show was great, but ”The Bachelor” segment was simply hilarious! Also, his ”retaliation dream” against North Korea was funny.

@lockhart43- Thank you! But…I have commented before. As a matter of fact, I was the one who wrote the most recent taping reporT (along with 5 others, which includes 2 books signings and the 92Y).
I was just known as “Victoria” then. I’ve now moved on to the more illustrious StephenSmile64!
But thank you for the welcome!!!
And yes, I agree with you, I also don’t count President’s Day either. We know Stephen has had to to do other work on his “days off” (i.e. tape that interview with Jake Tapper, etc.). I really do admire his drive!

I really do not understand America’s fascination with ‘The Bachelor’. It last a few seasons here, and even then we couldn’t stand. How is it still going 16 seasons later, and an entire minute of just starring to boot!!

Paul keeps looking more and more “hot hipster-dad” and I love it

@Katt:
I share your perspective. I find the very idea of the show horrendous.
But Stephen and Paul staring at each other with deep longing: priceless! So I guess “The Bachelor” had at least one good result!

I join the chorus of not understanding the Bachelor. I have never seen the show before, but was not surprised from the clip showing how incredibly stupid the show is. I guess there is a contingent of people who are entertained by the concept of finding some unattainable “dream man” in a competitive format. Unfortunately,said concept descends into long, drawn staring contests in some hopes of creating “drama.” I love how TCR skewered it, and seeing Paul Dinello made it even better. He looks great.

The Bachelor looks awful, but I loved the sketch. How could Stephen not choose Paul (even in jest)?

@Caroline:
He’ll be like the bachelor who changed his mind and went for the runner-up after the last episode! (Keep in mind I know about this only from gossip. I do NOT watch that show.)

Well, i must confess i’m a bachelor viewer, and as one, I loved stephen’s mockery!

@Karenatasha: Good point. Maybe Paul will be chosen after all! Anyway, I love it when he is on the show. Hope they use him again soon.

I love how he points out that it’s been on for 16 years, which I didn’t realize, and yet there has only been one marriage that wasn’t between the finale couple. Obviously, that’s not the point of the show. It’s silly, but I gotta say, I would much rather see a silly bit involving the Bachelor than to hear more about the sequester or congress or Obama or anything like that. I love how they used Paul too, being that he’s a “confirmed bachelor” and all.
