Not only did we have Buzz on tonight’s show but Stephen finally addressed the many comparisons made between him and Mr. Larose (In The Press readers are aware of my interest in this story and he finally tackled it). Pretty sweet night!  Comment it up and I’ll be back soon with more.

I was rolling over with laughter during the Larose segment! I love Voiceover Stephen because he can really say whatever he wants, it’s so great. He always has the best responses to what the people interviewed in the field are saying. I lost it when he started singing the title sequence (“It’s a myssterry!”), and the ending disclaimer was equal parts hilarity and genius.

The Lena Dunham interview was perfect. Stephen drawing Dunham a diagram of what “the sex” is and her wonderful reaction to it might be right up there with arm-wrestling Daniel Craig. It doesn’t matter if the woman is 24 or 84, Stephen’s always got that lovely charm. Dunham was quite the charmer herself and seemed totally comfortable. And then Stephen killed on Letterman immediately after! Tonight was awesome.

I can’t wait! I’ll be watching it all tomorrow.

What a solid show. That disclaimer at the end of the Larose segment was one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard him say. And oh so wrong. It was great seeing Buzz Aldrin on the show again. I was totally expecting Jon to be included among the nominees so that Stephen could at least pretend to beat him at something! And the interview was excellent. Never seen Girls, and it doesn’t really sound like my cup of tea, but Lena Dunham seems like a really cool gal. I don’t know how the topic of “the sex” came about, but I’d love to have seen that diagram.

From what I could gather by the way his hand was moving, I’m fairly certain that he drew two stick figures in the missionary position. Which is hilarious.

That’s a relief. I was afraid poor Snoopy had his sketch dragged into this sordid discussion.

I’ve seen the show — so I doubt it was the missionary position, if you know what I mean!

And will someone be putting up a clip of the Letterman? I missed it….

Look what Lena Dunham posted on Twitter with the caption “Found Mr. Jellineck!!!”

That picture is so adorable, and Paul’s got some funky new specs goin’ on there.

Paul Dinello! That picture is great. Knowing that Lena Dunham is a Strangers With Candy fan makes me like her even more.

lockhart, I so agree that Stephen was *great* on Letterman, I loved it that Dave kept demanding to know where the Superpac money was, what was going to be done with it, and Stephen just kept refusing to tell him! All the while making the exact point that he doesn’t *have* to tell him. I really thought Letterman was getting a little frustrated, but it was great stuff from Stephen, not to mention an eye-opener to any new audiences watching. And all very funny.
True, they didn’t really discuss the book but he did get to it on the Today show.
As for last night’s show it was just so great to see Buzz Aldrin. The space award was fabulous all around.
