O.K. I know I’m jumping the gun here. And this isn’t exactly the right place. But, kitten and parakeet videos be d^*ned, if Jon and Stephen weren’t just the cutest thing together in all of creation, then I don’t know what is. Watching 2 boys playing make believe and probably singing to themselves (a la Steve Martin), “And I get paid for doin’ this!” - priceless!!!

That was awesome. Some of the funniest words in the English language now are: I cannot coordinate with you in any way.

By the way, the TDS and TCR twitter feeds have been hijacked, but not StephenAtHome.

I kid you not, about 30 seconds before Stephen came on TDS, I thought to myself, “Jon’s talking about the SuperPAC, I might want to record this, I have a feeling Stephen might be on.” I know I throw the word genius around a lot, but darnit, that whole segment was complete genius! And again, bless Trevor Potter for being sincerely cool.

As for TCR, they really knocked it out of the park with this episode. From the PAC talk, to Stephen spending all of Yahweh or No Way trying not to laugh, to the Granholm interview, I loved it all! Seriously, what a joke-packed Yahweh or No Way! That “Sermon on the Mount” joke had me rolling. I thought Gov. Granholm did a fabulous job, a great match for “Stephen.” And Stephen’s reaction to her comment about The Dating Game was wonderful. I can’t even pretend not to like her; if it weren’t for term limits, I’d be proud to still have her as my governor.

Around a month ago I had reserved tickets through dailytix on twitter for The Colbert Report. My parents and I basically planned an entire New York trip around the show so when Tuesday came we were all excited! We arrived at around 3:45 and ended up being first in line. We schmoozed with two other guys who were there and quickly afterwards a ton of people started to show up. I got tons of pictures in front of the Colbert report and then once we got through security I made sure to take tons of pictures of all the different cool props and pictures inside the waiting room. We were explained the different rules of the show and explained what the role of the audience was. We were then ushered in and my parents and I were seated towards Stephen’s right when he’s at the desk. They were actually great seats for seeing backstage stuff during the breaks as well as seeing Colbert during the first two segments. The interview was a different story- but I looked at the T.V. screen for that. First the warm up comedian guy came out and I have to say I was unimpressed. He seemed to just be insulting people rather than making jokes but whatever. When he called Stephen out my heart probably skipped 10 beats. There he was!! I’ve watched the show so many times that he has almost turned into this fictional human for me so to see him there physically was so surreal. The Q&A was shorter than I had expected. One person asked if he still taught Sunday school to which he answered he doesn’t this year but that last year he did. And then the person continued to ask if the kids he teaches know about “Stephen” and he replied “they’re 7!” and then he said something along the lines of “you think you’re so philosophical and intelligent and then one of these kids will go and ask ‘what came before god?’” I can’t remember the whole quote but it was cute. Then someone asked if the writers striked again would he continue to do the show and he answered “I think I’d put a gun in my mouth!” Then it was my chance. He asked if anyone had any other questions so I raised my hand and asked the following “Hi Stephen! I know you have the perfect voice for musical theater- so if you were to audition for Broadway what song would you sing and can we hear a sample?” he then pondered the question and then broke out into a cute little dance while singing “Moves like Jagger”. Then he said “in all seriousness” and then started singing a really good song (which I can’t even remember because I was so in heaven!) right to me. I’m talking eyes locked on me. And then he’s walking closer and closer to me while singing! I literally got serenaded to by STEPHEN COLBERT!!! Other highlights from the night include the following: right before the first segment they were blasting this awesome rock music and Stephen was lip synching it all!! And then the hair artist was brushing Stephen’s hair and then he started caressing her hair- it was really funny! Right after he said the “do onto others…” line he lost it and said “I hope none of you blog or tweet”(sorry Stephen!) and so they redid it. He also cracked up right as they started the table of contents so they reshot that as well. During the first break three male writers came to Stephen and they were discussing the script and I turned to my mom and said “I think one of them is Paul Dinello”. It was and as he went backstage we were like “hi Paul!” Another great part of the show was when Granholm mentioned that she had been on the bachelorette-like show and Stephen was genuinely surprised which was awesome because that doesn’t usually happen.
So after the show my parents and I waited by the steps of the office part of the building for around 2 hours for Stephen! The bodyguard said that it was going to be extra long because he has a lot to cover because of the whole super pac week! During the wait we met Paul Dinello and I got him to sign my book and he wrote “This is lovely bathroom reading”. And then Stephen came out!! As he came down the steps he told us that we were quite tenacious! He was so sweet but it was obvious that he was in a rush to get home and yet he still stopped to shake our hands, sign my book, and take a picture with me! As he left I told him “great show” and my mom said “good luck with running for president” to which he replied “It’s only an exploratory phase!”
Oh mercy! The best night of my life!! See you in 6 months Stephen!

My goodness. Are they trying to make up for a year of no tosses? I nearly died of bromance poisoning. That was amazing.

I knew ‘Moves Like Jagger’ was a good song for Stephen — that’s why I made my ‘Moves Like Colbert’ fanvid a month ago, it’s posted here on CNH under Fan Art!

Great bromance, or the greatest bromance? First, Stephen and Jon transfer Super PAC leadership from one to the other by holding hands on TCR. Then they have a phone convo with Trevor Potter (ultimate it-getter and political educator) literally cheek to cheek and act like excited little boys on TDS. And finally, Stephen speculates that he and Jon may have developed some sort of soulbond to explain why ads by TDNCWSCSP and his statements are running in tandem and then physically senses whatever Jon is feeling at the time. Seriously…can they be more adorable? If anything, they’re helping to make me smile during this very busy and crazy period I’m going through. If they could continue making appearances on each other’s shows and displaying more of the comedic chemistry that we’ve missed between them from time to time, I would totally be okay with that. Also, I’m just really blown by how great their shows have been since 2012 began. Just bam, bam, bam. Hit after hit. Wouldn’t expect anything less from them.

Agreed! It’s hard not to be an extreme fangirl when watching these last few episodes. And TDNCWSCSP is a nice, short abbreviation. :)

The fact that soulbond is Cannon. There are not words.

Both of the shows were epic but combined, they were unbelievable.

The little moments when Stephen prayed for forgiveness and talked about being charged for friendship in high school were also great. It’s really enjoyable to see him so comfortable with allowing himself to show through his character more and more. It gives an extra dimension to the show and it’s especially nice when he does it in interviews. I know he’s said that at times he’d prefer to just talk passionately and knowledgeably about his guest topic and I’d enjoy seeing him do it.
