“I was truly gratified recently to see that even after the things I’ve said about Muslims, I received a contribution from Arab-American viewer Suq Madiq. [breaks] I trust I’m pronouncing that correctly. You’ve made your parents proud! Your father, Liqa Madiq, and your mother who still goes by her maiden name, Munchma Quchi.”

“People are always asking me, “how much money have you raised?”. Well i am happy to announce that i don’t have to tell you. For a long time at least but trust me it will be… well spent”
I haven't seen someone with that much trouble getting to first base since me. You will eventually see a girl naked, I promise you!

Great character break? Or the greatest character break?

Munchma Quchi shall hath been the greatest character break. And the weird gothy looking boots.
Also too the juxtaposition of freshman year Stephen and Stephen giving him some sound advice.

No question. THE greatest character break. @CN Helper, I don’t know how you even managed to write “Munchma…” because I started laughing before I could even finish! Just thinking of Stephen laughing like that makes me laugh all over again. You know, if they had an episode where all he did was laugh, it would still be funny and interesting. Plus, well, that smile…

I’m crying. Really crying. It was beautiful. Just when I thought the T-Rex birth control malfunction silliness couldn’t be beat!

That was a really great character break. I’m glad they left it in.
You could see it building up from when he said “Suq Madiq”.

Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Last night…I can’t…I was laughing so hard…I nearly fell off the couch…seriously I was holding onto the edges for dear life…and I couldn’t breathe…oh Stephen…we know that you prefer to stay in character and to get through the show with no mess-ups…but when you give in and break down…it’s the most beautiful sight for us…oh man, one week more and I could’ve seen this character break live and in person! Oh well. But yeah…for me…GREATEST character break.

Off the character-break topic for a moment… I know Anthony Bourdain is the ultimate foodie and he’s interesting to watch and listen to; however, can I just say that whatever it was that he was talking about eating (I stopped listening when he got to bird’s head or something)… ICK. I mean, really, ICK! Sorry, Anthony, but given a choice between the dreaded Olive Garden and THAT… pass the breadsticks! Eeeek. (Okay Susan, think of the character break, think of the character break…. ah, that’s better.)

What I loved best about this character break, was how he tried so hard NOT to laugh. Then when he did lose it, he lost it as much as any time I’ve ever seen him break this side of the Prince Charles segment on TDS. I can tell you I laughed so loudly I was sure I must have awaken my neighbors! Just fantastic!
Of the now forgotten rest of the show? I was also really glad he mentioned the shenanigans going on in Wisconsin. It just makes me so mad when I think about it! I so hope the Dems pull-off this recall! And the whole Obama trying to convince us he was born/selfishly-celebrating-his-birthday-so-the-recession-will-now-last-four-more-hours bit was fun too.
A terrific show to get us through the Stephenless weekend.

I’m so glad you brought up the Wisconsin segment - that and the character break (the best ever) were amazing!

I agree. Those are my favorite character breaks - when he slowly starts to lose it and is trying so hard to keep it together, and then just completely breaks and laughs because he just cannot keep it in any longer. It’s such a beautiful thing to watch. That’s gotta be the longest character break ever!

Oh yeah. @Katt: Thank you so much for putting up that visual montage of the character break too! (And big thanks to theinquietude for making it in the first place.)

He wore French cuffs and his licorice tie AND had the most epic character break ever? That was the greatest thing I have ever seen.
And I’ve been wanting to say this since Monday: next to “SCILF,” “Freeberty” is my favorite opening word.

Okay, I’m really slow. After watching this video about 5 or 6 times I just got the Suq Madiq joke. *embarassed* This was amazing, if only he had a banana like in the Prince Charles break…
