He currently stars as Oscar Madison, opposite to Tom Lennon as Felix Unger, in the CBS sitcom The Odd Couple, a remake of the 1970s sitcom about two divorced men who become roommates even though they are polar opposites. Unfortunately, it has not been well received by critics. The New York Posts says, “This latest production is not completely terrible; it just underscores the sad state of affairs on network television, where programmers are seriously hurting for a fresh idea.” And the AV Club states, “Oscar will teach Felix to unwind a little; Felix will smooth Oscar’s rough edges. Repeat until syndication money rolls in.” Season two of The Odd Couple premieres April 7th at 8:30pm on CBS.

And Vanity Fair states, “Take it from us; Offerman’s take on American history is worth reading.”

Of all their records, it’s ultimately the one that sounds the most like the image their band name evokes.” And Consequence of Sound says, “For Explosions in the Sky, it’s a matter of collapsing those expansive sonic narratives into an equally captivating series of vignettes, each with its own story that, however brief, is still fully capable of conjuring wonder and amazement.”

Sometimes we need to sleep in to lean in!” exclaims Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO and author of Lean In. And Bill Maher states, “This is one of those books that, if you don’t read, when you’re dead you’re really going to wish you had. I never thought I would have needed a self-help book for sleep, but I did! Sleep is everything – that’s my takeaway, and so you better know how to do it.”

Wisely, they save their only two missteps for the end: power-ballad No Rain, No Rainbow is wearyingly formulaic, while the one foray into English lyrics on The One unpicks some of their exoticism with its platitudinous observations,” states The Guardian. Metal Resistance will be released on April 22nd.

Anna Kendrick and Sam Rockwell (Actors – “Mr. Right”)
Anna Kendrick is an American actress and singer who rose to prominence for her supporting role in The Twilight Saga. Her other films include Up in the Air, 50/50, Into the Woods, and Pitch Perfect. Kendrick and Rockwell star together in the new film Mr. Right. Directed by Paco Cabezas, Kendrick plays Martha McKay who falls for Rockwell’s character, a hitman on the run from the crime cartels who employ him. The film has received mixed reviews. “It’s ultimately too much kookiness for one romantic comedy to handle,” states Variety. But The Hollywood Reporter says, “For viewers who can embrace this fizzy blend of mystic-assassin worship and cutesy at-first-sight romance, though, Paco Cabezas’ action rom-com will be the best thing since Grosse Pointe Blank.” Mr. Right opens in theaters on April 8th.
David Duchovny (Author – “Bucky F*cking Dent: A Novel”)
David Duchovny is an American actor, writer, producer, director, and singer-songwriter. He is known for playing FBI Agent Fox Mulder on the sci-fi horror action drama show The X-Files and writer Hank Moodyon the comedy-drama series Californication, both of which have earned him Golden Globe awards. His new book Bucky F*cking Dent is a story of the bond between fathers and sons, Yankee fans and the Fenway faithful, and grapples with the urgent need to find our story in an age of irony and artifice. Culminating in that fateful moment in October of ’78 when the meek Bucky Dent hit his way into baseball history with the unlikeliest of home runs, this tragicomic novel demonstrates that life truly belongs to the losers–that the long shots are the ones worth betting on. “Even people who hate the Red Sox will love this book. David Duchovny knows his baseball, but more importantly he loves his fathers and sons. A touching delight,” says Gary Shteyngart.
Autolux (Album – “Pussy’s Dead”)
Autolux is an American alternative rock band consisting of Eugene Goreshter, Greg Edwards and Carla Azar. Their latest album is Pussy’s Dead. Consequence of Sound says, “Lyrically, things are also hit-or-miss. The dystopian quality of their theorizing remains intriguing, but they occasionally veer into dour first-world miserablism. (If ever there were a sign that you need to get out of L.A. for a while, it’s when you pen a lyric like the chorus to “Selectallcopy”: “It’s oh so sad/ To be happy all the time.”) Taken as a whole, the record doesn’t match the highs of its best material as often as it could, but there should be enough new ideas at play to hold fans over for the next six years.”
