  1. When he mentioned last night in the Ann Patchett interview that he had “a couple” of books coming out this year, I thought this book was the other one he was talking about (see how easily I forget about things he even mentioned on the show a month ago). Crossing my fingers that he does a reading for kids like he did with “The Story of Ferdinand.” :)

    • “Crossing my fingers that he does a reading for kids like he did with “The Story of Ferdinand.” That’d be great… Do you consider a 14-year-old to be a kid? :D

      • I’m a 23 year-old and I still watch Rugrats and Spongebob Squarepants, so yes, I would absolutely consider a 14 year-old to be a kid. ;)

  2. I imagine there will be quite a number of confused non-fans out there. It’s not every day you have a book about a flag pole sitting on your bookshelf.

      • That’s a pretty awesome marketing idea, Nutmeg! Even if they can’t put the book on a pole, they could create a flag with the cover design. In fact, I think it should fly round the city!

  3. Spreading truthiness to our youth. It should come with safety scissors to cut the tiny tyranny out of all other children’s books.

TIP OF THE HAT! Thumb up +4
