When he mentioned last night in the Ann Patchett interview that he had “a couple” of books coming out this year, I thought this book was the other one he was talking about (see how easily I forget about things he even mentioned on the show a month ago). Crossing my fingers that he does a reading for kids like he did with “The Story of Ferdinand.” :)

“Crossing my fingers that he does a reading for kids like he did with “The Story of Ferdinand.” That’d be great… Do you consider a 14-year-old to be a kid? :D

    I’m a 23 year-old and I still watch Rugrats and Spongebob Squarepants, so yes, I would absolutely consider a 14 year-old to be a kid. ;)

I love Spongebob. XD And good, because I’d go to one of those readings… :)

I imagine there will be quite a number of confused non-fans out there. It’s not every day you have a book about a flag pole sitting on your bookshelf.

I don’t suppose it would help if in bookstores, the book were to be displayed on a pole…

That’s a pretty awesome marketing idea, Nutmeg! Even if they can’t put the book on a pole, they could create a flag with the cover design. In fact, I think it should fly round the city!

Spreading truthiness to our youth. It should come with safety scissors to cut the tiny tyranny out of all other children’s books.
