Stephen Colbert Bill O'Reilly

“I had an uncle, Roger. He was a great guy. My mum was always saying, “Why can’t he find a nice girl?”. Well, one Thanksgiving he shows up to dinner in a damp suit with his roommate Clicky. You know, it’s obvious to anybody but I didn’t know – I was young. Though, even as a kid I found it odd that they slept in the same saltwater tank and it just…it just breaks my heart…that they could never be open about it. My uncle eventually had blowhole reassignment surgery…and got caught in a tuna net. So O’Reilly, back off on the Dolphins. But gay marriage – yeah, that’s sick.”

The segment about dolphins was absolutely hilarious…seeing “Stephen” cry like that will never not be funny. And I loved Tip/Wag – I’m very tempted to send one of those letters out. Haven’t we moved on to a time when Ted Nugent is no longer relevant? Him singing “Cat Scratch Fever” on Huckabee was creepy enough, and I already have to live with the fact that he was born in my state; I don’t need him trying his hand at editorial writing, too. Here’s hoping we see more Good Point/Other Point segments in the future though, that was great!

I truly believe that Grover Norquist would indeed allow his grandmother to be eaten alive by fire ants if it protected the wealthiest 1 percenters from paying a penny more in taxes. (Fun fact: when I was born, my 3 year old brother tried to lobby my parents to name me “Grover”.)

Ted Nugent offends me on many levels. Because we don’t support YOUR misguided political views, we must be apathetic? On behalf of my fellow Millenials (are we really called that?), screw you, sir.

Yes, we’re called Millenials/Generation Y/Generation Next…although I think that we’re more like Generation WAF (We Are F***ed) if things get any worse by the time it’s our turn to lead the country unless we learn not to make the same mistakes that our peers have made, although maybe that’s just me being pessimistic.

Ted Nugent really makes my eyes roll with his strange ideas, and that Norquist guy being willing to let his grandmother die so to keep taxes the way they are? I was never close to my grandparents, but even I wouldn’t want them to meet a fate like that. Stephen sure looked taken back as he signed off the interview. I don’t understand some people in this crazy world.

That said, the dolphin story/fake crying and the razor thing definitely made me chuckle. I always want to give Stephen a big hug when he “cries” like that; it’s so convincing! The witty jokes during the Rick Scott bit def earned a brief round of clapping from me (hat tip to the Voldemort joke). Excellant writing as usual.
